It is $800 per semester. There are two semesters every year, and classes are offered year round with some breaks for holidays.
  • Is this program only for future scholars?
This program is for seekers at all levels, including those who have no plans to go into full-time scholarship. The main requirement that is needed is a serious desire to seek knowledge and the mental and physical ability to commit to the time and rigor of a program that meets three hours a day, for three days a week.
  • Is there an online component?
Darul Fath is fully in-person. If you choose to take online classes, we offer them at Arkview.org.
  • What if I can't attend every day?
We highly recommend that you make a firm intention before applying to this program, and make the commitment to attend all the courses you choose to take. We understand that a student may not take every single course. Missing one or two classes will not hurt one, but a luke-warm commitment and spotty attendance will only waste your time and money
  • Is there a women's program?
Yes, we have a women's program which includes courses in aqida, fiqh, tasawwuf, & hifz. All women's courses are held at the New Brunswick Islamic Center.
  • How is fiqh taught?
As a pre-requisite, students must have decided to study Hanafi or Maliki fiqh. Shafi'i and Hanbali fiqh are not offered. A student may not study two madhabs at once for pedagogical reasons.
  • What books do I need to purchase?
The book list will be made available to all students. Students can use PDFs of the books or they can purchase them online.
  • Where are classes?
Classes are held on two campuses: 367 Somserset St in New Brunswick. 1330 Livingston Ave in North Brunswick (NBIC).
